"Discover the North Sikkim Beauty"
The North District of Sikkim is the seventh least populous district in the world. Spanning across an area of 4,226 square kilometers, it is a visual treat, waiting to be explored by the senses. Sitting at an elevation of approximately two thousand feet above the sea level, the entire region sports the growth of emerald alpines. As we progress further to the north, the pines thin down to pave way for the dry tundra vegetation that grows beneath the towering mountains. As you travel to the southern fringes, the area becomes relatively warmer and more densely inhabited.
Dotted with some of the most majestic mountains, North Sikkim shelters the Khangchendzonga National Park, which is sprawled across an area of 1,784 square kilometers. It is home to a rich reserve of the exotic Red Panda, who is an extremely rare species & the state animal of Sikkim.
