South Sikkim

"Explore South Sikkim , Experience Adventure"

South Sikkim is the smallest district in Sikkim but the most industrialized since the region enjoys an expansive stretch of plain land that isn't riddled with high altitude peaks. Sprawled across a 750 square kilometer wide region, the area is home to extensive tea estates that grow the fragrant Temi tea and some of the most important religious centers that attract thousands of devotees and cultural enthusiasts on a yearly basis. The region, having being annexed by Nepal before Indian independence, has witnessed the migration of a fairly good amount of Nepalese who now permanently inhabit the region & live in harmony alongside the Lepcha & Bhutia communities.
