Daywise Tour Itinerary (07 Days)

  • Day 1

    Day 1 - Arrive in Darjeeling

    On reaching NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport, you will be received by our office executive and transferred to Darjeeling in an executive vehicle. Upon arrival, check in at your pre-booked hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. During your free time, you can opt to visit Tinchuley Village, Mahakal Temple, Barbotey Rock Garden and Dali Monastery (leisure activities are not included in the package). Stay overnight in Darjeeling.

  • Day 2

    Day 2 - Darjeeling Sightseeing

    Wake up early and at around 3.45 AM, drive up to Tiger Hill (2,590 m) to catch a glimpse of the multi-hued sunrise over Mount Kangchenjunga. It is an awe-inspiring feeling to watch the mountains reflect beautiful colours of the sunrise. Visit Batasia Loop on your way back and head to Ghoom Monastery. Ghoom Monastery - one of the oldest and most famous Tibetan monasteries that is famed for its giant statue (15 ft) of the Buddha. Return to the hotel by 8 AM and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Then proceed for a half day city tour covering Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Ropeway, Tenzing Rock, Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (closed on Sundays) and Peace Pagoda. Return to the hotel in Darjeeling for the night.

  • Day 3

    Day 3 - Darjeeling - Kalimpong - Kalimpong Half Day Sightseeing

    Have a good breakfast, check out from the hotel at 7.30 AM and proceed to Kalimpong in a comfortable vehicle. On arrival, check in at the hotel and proceed for a sightseeing tour around Kalimpong. Visit Durpin Dara Hill (4,501 ft) - one of the two hills that houses the town of Kalimpong, and enjoy breathtaking vistas of the town, snow-capped peaks, Teesta River and surrounding valleys. It is also home to the Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, a botanical garden and a golf course. Deolo Hill (5,590 ft), the other hill on which the town stands, is Kalimpong's highest point and offers mesmerizing views of sunrise and sunset. Witness beautiful flowers and cactus (that are also exported to different countries) at the Pine View Nursery and head to Dr. Graham's Home, an institution for children, founded by Rev. Dr. J. A. Graham (a Scottish missionary) in 1900. Behold the beautiful historic church and well-maintained grounds at this unique place. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 4

    Day 4 - Kalimpong - Gangtok

    After a filling breakfast, check out from the hotel at 7.30 AM and drive to Gangtok (75 km, 3 hrs approx.). Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim and its largest town, boasts of being a beautiful and clean location and promises some of the best attractions. Evening is allotted for leisure. Stroll around M.G. Marg or the local market, or opt to visit Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, Tashi View Point, Ranka Monastery and Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve (leisure activities are not included in the package). Rest the night away back in Gangtok.

  • Day 5

    Day 5 - Explore Tsomgo Lake - Baba Mandir - Nathula Pass (optional)

    After a refreshing breakfast, at 8 AM, drive to the gorgeous and holy Tsomgo Lake (12,310 ft, depth 50 ft) situated amidst verdant green landscapes. It reflects lovely colours of the sun throughout the day and remains frozen in winter. Visit Baba Mandir, a temple dedicated to Captain Harbhajan Singh who was a revered soldier of the Indian Army. Nathu La Pass (India China Border, 14,200 ft) visit (optional) will require to be arranged the previous night itself and your voters ID card will have to be provided. Once booking is confirmed, the amount will not be refunded, even if the trip gets cancelled. You can get back to the hotel for lunch or eat somewhere on the way. Rest of the day is free. In the evening, you can take a stroll around M.G. Marg or the local market, or visit Hanuman Tok, Banjhakri Waterfalls, Enchey Monastery and Do Drul Chorten Stupa (leisure activities are not included in the package). Stay overnight in Gangtok.

  • Day 6

    Day 6 - Gangtok - Pelling - Pelling Half Day Sightseeing

    Have a delicious breakfast and at about 7:30 AM, proceed to Pelling. Pelling, a very small Himalayan Town in West Sikkim, is the nearest motor able point of Mt. Kanchenjunga - the 3rd highest peak in the world. On reaching Pelling, check in at the hotel and get ready for a wonderful sightseeing tour of Pelling. You will visit Khecheopalri Lake, Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdantse Ruins. The beautiful Khecheopalri Lake is a sacred location for the Hindus and Buddhists and is believed to fulfill a person's wishes. Pemayangtse Monastery is one of the most famous and oldest monasteries in Sikkim, designed by Lama Lhatsun Chempo. Also visit Rabdantse Ruins and enjoy stunning views of Kanchenjunga Mountains. Stay overnight back at the hotel.

  • Day 7

    Day 7 - End of Tour

    In the morning, after breakfast at about 6:30 AM, check out from the hotel and be transferred to NJP Railway station or IXB Airport for your journey back home.

  • Any increase in the govt. taxes and state taxes
  • Anything not mentioned in the itinerary.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Your contract is with Sikkim Tourism Packages. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Sikkim Tourism Packages.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Refund

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
